Visual Schedules & Daily Routines

Without visual schedules…

  • Repeated reminders
  • Transition struggles
  • Student Confusion

With visual schedules…

  • Smoother routines
  • More independence
  • Fewer prompts

Visual schedules have completely changed how the teachers I support run transitions and daily routines in their special education classrooms. These are the exact pocket charts I have used to get teachers started with student task organization. I like how we have transitioned some students to using the pen holder to mark off their tasks. These charts are durable and wipe-off easy, but I can still use them with Velcro images attached to a page that we insert inside the pocket.

30 Packs Dry-Erase Pocket Sleeves

Here is an example of a visual schedule. You can just print off a blank sheet like the one below, print out the images you use to support students, and then place Velcro dots on each square and each image. Tuck these pages right into the pocket sleeve to bring organization and independence to your classroom!
